Galic?

Here is a piece of the conversation I had with Eli this morning while we were on our way to the sitter's...

"Hey momma, guess what a galic is."

"I don't know buddy, what is it?"

"A galic is something that's inside your head and it makes your hair stick straight up and I have some."

And then the pause as I'm replaying what he just said until, wham, it dawns on me what he's talking about. And then I start to laugh :)

"Yes buddy, you're right, you do have a few galics..." which of course would be a cowlick!

What on earth did I laugh about before the kids were around? I spend so much time laughing with them, and somethimes at them, but only because they say silly things.
